INTERNATIONAL KEPES SOCIETY, MIT http://kepes.society.bme.hu/art-science/kepes.html Gilah has been invited to join MIT's International Kepes Society (in association with CAVS, MIT). The founders of the Society regard György Kepes's oeuvre in art, in the theory of art and in art education a body of work representing universal significance and outstanding value. The source and inspiration of the work of the Society is György Kepes's life work and the cooperation of artists, scholars, scientists and technological specialists in the spirit of CAVS,  the institute Kepes established. PUBLICATION: LEONARDO -- Journal of the International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technology, MIT http://www.leonardo.info/leoinfo.html

"Leonardo, the journal of the International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technology is what you might call a serious publication. Since 1968 it has been a forum for professional artists to describe and discuss their work, a brief that makes it something of a rarity."

-- Wired Magazine

In 2014 the journal will publish Gilah's article, Artist as Scientist in a Reflective World. The journal was founded in 1968 in Paris by kinetic artist and astronautical pioneer Frank Malina. Malina saw the need for a journal that would serve as an international channel of communication between artists, with emphasis on the writings of artists who use science and developing technologies in their work. After the death of Frank Malina in 1981, and under the leadership of his son, Roger F. Malina, Leonardo moved to San Francisco, California, as the flagship journal of the newly founded nonprofit organization Leonardo/The International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technology (Leonardo/ISAST). Leonardo/ISAST has grown along with its community and today is the leading organization for artists, scientists and others interested in the application of contemporary science and technology to the arts and music.
